Begin with the Basics

Does the beginning of the school year have you feeling a bit overwhelmed?  We all feel like that at times.  Try starting with the basics:  Bible, reading, writing and arithmetic.  Teach those four subjects and add the rest later when you feel more confident.

Young children benefit from short, repetitive lessons and if you add some read-aloud books (yes, picture books count) to your schedule, you can round out your curriculum in an easy and enjoyable way.

It's an exciting journey.  May God bless your home education efforts.
